Tebeka is a legal aid and advocacy group that help Ethiopian Israelis facing discrimination in housing, employment, schools and the police. With only one full-time attorney, one part-time attorney (Advocacate Moshe Adgo) and two interns, Tebeka handles over a thousand cases each year. Recently, however, thousands of young Ethiopian Israelis were arrested during peaceful demonstrations. Never charged, they still have arrest records that can prevent them from obtaining government jobs, some municipal jobs, high-security positions and certain army units. Each arrest record must be expunged individually and that is why we need Moshe working full-time! Tebeka is an outstanding legal aid clinic getting excellent results, but there are thousands of cases to work thru. Help us Hire Moshe Full-time!
